1. Introduction
Currently Lebanon CNRS remote sensing center is responsible for developing GIS maps specifically land cover/land use maps, soil and risk maps. The center provides the maps to the different institutions that use the GIS maps.
In this respect the geographical affairs department in the army developed a new geodesy network for mapping. However, the current GIS maps rely on the previous network. Accordingly a new study should be finalised to convert the new maps according to the new system.

Introduction:
The project to be launched soon from CEDRO will contain the following tasks;
Task 1: Biomass energy (bioenergy) resource assessment for Lebanon
Task 2: Bioenergy conversion options
Task 3: Future scenarios for bioenergy use in Lebanon
Task 4: Environmental, economic and social implications of bioenergy scenarios (sustainability criteria)
Task 5: Barriers to bioenergy development
Education:
Advanced university degree in bioenergy, bioenergy economics, environmental specialist (bioenergy emphasis), agronomics or equivalent.
Experience:
(a) Minimum of 15 years of general experience.
