1. Introduction
Lebanon is experiencing daily deadly road accidents that results in considerable injuries and deaths. The internal security forces are working to manage and reduce the number of accidents. A new traffic law is being reviewed by the Parliament public works committee. The internal security forces in collaboration with municipalities, the ministry of public works and transport require support in building capacity in road safety and conducting case studies to identify problems and find solutions to incorporate in the transport plan.

Lebanon is a member of the International Maritime Organization and has signed several international maritime transport conventions. In 1975 ratified both the Hague rules and the Visby Protocol and implemented them by law No 13/75.
